AP Racing Screw Type Prop Valve

SKU: CP3550-14
Sale price$515.00

The AP Racing CP3550-14 is a screw-type brake proportioning valve designed for competition vehicles. It allows progressive adjustment of hydraulic line pressure to reduce braking effort—typically at the rear axle—to accommodate changing track conditions, grip levels and vehicle handling characteristics.

The threaded adjustment cap provides effectively infinite adjustment within the limits of normal brake operation. With the cap fully screwed in clockwise, virtually no pressure reduction occurs. Winding the cap outward progressively reduces rear-line pressure, with the fully outward position reducing output pressure to approximately one-third of the input pressure.

Installation and adjustment:

For optimum performance, the vehicle’s mechanical brake balance should initially be biased towards the rear. Install the valve in the rear brake line with the adjustment cap fully screwed in. Winding the cap outward then progressively increases the front brake bias, allowing the braking balance to be adjusted as grip conditions change.

  • Designed for competition vehicles
  • Screw-type adjustment for precise brake-bias control
  • Typically installed in the rear brake line
  • Virtually no pressure reduction when fully screwed in
  • Output reduced to approximately one-third of input pressure when fully extended
  • Nominal ratio: 0.325
  • Approximate weight: 180g
  • M10 x 1.0 hydraulic connections
  • Anti-vibration clip supplied

Important: This valve contains internal adjustments set by AP Racing. Do not dismantle, modify or attempt to alter the internal assembly.
