Brake Discs - DBA

DBA Performance Rotors

DBA performance 4000 & 5000 series rotors are produced in Australia for many different vehicles from all over the world. Australian made performance rotors for Australian performance drivers.

DBA 4000 series disc rotors

DBA 4000 club-spec series disc brake rotors are a direct replacement single-piece disc brake rotor, designed for drivers seeking performance braking. DBA's unique directional wiper slot design limits the possibility of glazing your brake pads and allows for better "pad-bite" under extreme braking. The wiper slot design constantly improves the disc pad friction face by wiping away the impurities, gases and resins from the friction material. All DBA 4000 slotted series rotors feature the DBA directional wiper slot design, i.e. Left-handed and Right-handed directional slotting

DBA 5000 series disc rotors

DBA 5000 series are a direct replacement two-piece disc brake rotor, designed for drivers seeking performance braking. The DBA 5000 series disc rotors consists of two main components: (1) Aluminium hat (2) Cast iron disc rotor. These two components are bolted together with high tensile bolts and lock nuts, hence the term two-piece rotor

What are the advantages of a two-piece rotor?

The main advantage of two-piece rotor (with an aluminium hat) is the ability to allow the cast-iron disc rotor to expand and contract uniformly as the temperature rises and falls during brake application. The benefit of this is minimal distortion and warping of the cast-iron disc rotor

Aircraft technology - Lighter & Stronger!

The Aluminium mounting bell (hat) is made from super-light 6061 T6 Aluminium material, as used in aircraft structural design. The thermal conductivity and high strength of this aluminium allows it to handle large temperature changes without distorting the rotor during braking application. The benefit of this is minimal distortion and warping of the cast-iron disc rotor.
